Be on the lookout again this year for our friend Sandy, the Piping Plover! Sandy is the mascot for the Feather & Folk Festival, as well as a familiar bird face in our area of the province. Last year Sandy spent time in Francois visiting the students who named him. Sandy visited children in other areas, too, such as Burgeo where he played with kids at the park, giving them activity books and candy. So keep your eyes open for Sandy, our Piping Plover Friend!
